We’re seeking experienced, reliable and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team in Oran Park.

You will support a participant transitioning into a new home, helping establish familiar routines, build trusting relationships and promote independence. This role suits workers experienced in complex support needs, positive behaviour support and calm de-escalation.

Key responsibilities

- Provide person-centred support with personal care, daily living and household tasks.
- Follow the participant’s Behaviour Support Plan and agreed risk-management strategies.
- Recognise early signs of distress and respond using proactive support and de-escalation techniques.
- Support community access, appointments and preferred activities.
- Assist with medication in line with training, support plans and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports and shift handovers.
- Work consistently with colleagues,



family and relevant support professionals.
- Promote dignity, choice, safety and independence.

About you

- Experience supporting people with complex needs and behaviours of concern.
- Experience in SIL or a similar disability support setting.
- Confidence implementing Behaviour Support Plans.
- A calm, patient approach and explicit communication skills.
- Reliability and a commitment to consistent support.
- Availability for morning and afternoon shifts, with some support periods extending to 7 pm.

Preferred qualifications and credentials

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or a related field.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Valid driver’s licence.

Pay: $45.28 – $50.00 per hour
