One is a community-based scale-up, the other a health-based scale-up. Both are growing at a very exciting pace, and both are backed by an exceptionally successful and supportive family office with a large portfolio of fast-growing companies.

You’ll work closely with founders and the board, and see how high-growth businesses are built, funded and scaled from the inside while they raise capital and expand. Roles with this level of exposure this early in a finance career rarely come up in Australia.

The role

You’ll split your week across both businesses as their finance manager. The first focus is getting the fundamentals running smoothly and from there, the role opens up into forecasting, automation, systems and strategy. You’ll work alongside founders who want a genuine finance partner, not just a number cruncher.

You won’t be doing it alone. You’ll have support from the family office’s operations leadership and a structured handover from the businesses' external accountants.

What you’ll be doing, and then automating as much as possible:

- Month-end close and management accounts in Xero
- Budgets,



forecasts and reporting to founders and the board
- AP, AR, reconciliations, cash flow and working capital
- Multi-entity reporting and payroll compliance
- Inventory, margin and FX management for an internationally growing brand
- Financial modelling for new sites and expansion
- Supporting capital raises with clear numbers and models
- Bringing structure and process to fast-moving teams

What you can bring to the team:

- An accounting or finance degree, with CA/CPA completed or underway
- Around 3+ years' experience in accounting or finance
- Comfort with Xero and Excel
- Enjoyment of hands‑on work, plus an eye for how to make it more efficient

Who you are:

- Keen to grow, and curious about a path beyond the standard corporate one
- Comfortable giving founders clear, honest advice, including when the answer is "not yet"
- Someone who enjoys building relationships with different teams and personalities
- Organised enough to switch between two businesses in the same week
