Success Tutoring Cabramatta is a local tutoring centre helping primary and high school students build confidence and get results. We're part of the Success Tutoring network and focus on small-group learning with a warm, supportive environment.
The role
We're looking for a tutor who specialises in preparing students for the NSW Selective High School Placement Test, the Opportunity Class (OC) test and NAPLAN. You'll teach small groups and help students master the skills and exam strategies they need to perform at their best.
What you'll do
- Teach Reading, Mathematical Reasoning, Thinking Skills and Writing for the Selective and OC tests
- Prepare Year 3, 5, 7 and 9 students for NAPLAN literacy and numeracy
- Run practice tests, mark work and give clear, encouraging feedback
- Track student progress and share updates with parents and the centre
- Use Success Tutoring's curriculum and resources, with your own ideas welcome
About you
- Solid results in Selective, OC or NAPLAN-style exams yourself, or proven experience teaching them
- A high ATAR,
or current university study or a degree (education, maths, English or similar preferred)
- Patient, clear and able to keep primary-aged students engaged
- Reliable and professional with families
- A valid NSW Working With Children Check, or willing to get one before you start
Hours
- Casual, after school and weekends: Mon to Thursday 3:30pm - 7pm ; Saturday 9am - 3pm
- Paid training through Success Tutoring's onboarding platform
