About the Role

Be U Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable, patient and friendly Community Access Support Worker to provide straightforward transport and basic assistance with everyday household tasks to a client in the Wellard area.

This is an entry-level position suited to someone who enjoys helping others, is dependable and can follow instructions while providing respectful, person-centred support.

The primary purpose of this role is to assist the client to access appointments and community activities while providing occasional assistance with simple domestic tasks.

The position involves routine duties carried out under direction. No medication management or complex disability support is required.

Available Shifts – Immediate Start

Wellard: Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00 am – 9:00 am
Total: 6 hours per week

We are initially recruiting for the shifts listed above. Additional shifts may become available in the future, depending on client requirements and business needs.

Flexible Position Structure

We understand that applicants may not be available for every shift.

Applications are welcome from candidates available for:

- Tuesday morning shifts only
- Thursday morning shifts only
- Both Tuesday and Thursday morning shifts

The role may be filled by one employee or shared between multiple employees, depending on availability. Wherever possible, we aim to maintain consistent staffing to support a positive working relationship with the client.

Duties and Responsibilities

The role involves routine community access and basic domestic assistance, including:

Community Access and Transport

- Safely driving the client to and from hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and other agreed appointments.
- Providing reliable transport to support the client's access to essential appointments and community activities.
- Assisting with straightforward appointment-related tasks as directed.
- Using a reliable, roadworthy and appropriately insured vehicle.

Basic Domestic Assistance

- Making the client's bed.




- Hanging out laundry.
- Emptying household rubbish bins.
- Washing a small number of dishes.
- Completing other simple, light household tasks as agreed and directed.

General Responsibilities

- Following the client's instructions and established support arrangements.
- Respecting the client's privacy, dignity, preferences and independence.
- Communicating appropriately with the client and the Be U team.
- Completing required shift records and basic documentation.
- Reporting any concerns or incidents in accordance with company procedures.

Duties are routine and limited in scope, with instructions and assistance available when required.

This is an entry level role and it does not involve toileting, medication administration or management, manual handling, clinical duties or complex behavioural support.

Essential Requirements

- Current driver's licence and Own Vehicle.
- Reliable vehicle that is roadworthy and appropriately insured for work-related use.
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills and a respectful, patient approach.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness and ability to obtain.
- Current National Police Clearance, or willingness and ability to obtain.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness and ability to obtain.
- Current Working With Children Check, or willingness and ability to obtain.

Previous experience in disability support, community access, transport assistance or domestic assistance is welcome but is not essential for applicants who demonstrate the right attitude and reliability.
