Hotel Manager – Sutherland

Experienced Hotel Manager Required – Family-Owned Hotel Group

We are a small, family-owned and operated hotel group seeking an experienced, reliable and motivated Hotel Manager to join our team at our venue located in Sutherland.

Our hotel offers a full range of facilities, including Bar, TAB, Keno, Bistro, Gaming and Functions.

We are looking for someone who is hardworking, confident and passionate about hospitality, with strong leadership skills and the ability to maintain high standards across all areas of the venue.

Previous experience working in a hotel (pub) environment is essential. Applicants must have a minimum of 12 months' experience in a similar role to be considered for this position.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Licensee to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel, while maintaining excellent customer service and a positive team environment.

We are willing to provide additional training and support to the right candidate; however, previous pub experience is a must.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel.
- Work closely with the Licensee to ensure smooth and efficient venue operations.
- Lead, supervise and motivate staff.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints and challenging situations professionally.
- Manage stock control, ordering and general venue operations.
- Ensure compliance with RSA, gaming and hotel regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment.




- Take initiative and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist with staff training and development.

Essential Requirements

- Minimum 12 months' previous experience working in a hotel/pub – essential.
- Previous experience with TAB, Keno and Gaming Machines.
- Current RSA and ARCG certifications.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Sound knowledge of hotel operations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent personal presentation and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and complaint-handling skills.
- Experience with stock control and ordering.
- Ability to work independently and make confident decisions.
- Reliable, punctual, organised and proactive.
- Must be available to work nights and weekends.
