Build a Career, Not Just a Job.
At Deliciae Detailing, we don't just wash cars. We specialise in paint correction and premium ceramic coatings, transforming everyday vehicles into showroom-quality finishes.
We're one of the Illawarra's fastest-growing premium detailing businesses and we're looking for someone who's hungry to learn, takes pride in their work and wants to build a long-term career in the automotive industry.
This is an all-round role within the business. You'll still be working hands-on with vehicles, learning professional detailing, paint correction and ceramic coating techniques, but you'll also assist with the day-to-day operation of the workshop.
You'll work closely under our management team, completing delegated tasks and helping wherever the business needs you.
Whether you already have detailing experience or you're starting from scratch, we'll provide the training and mentorship to help you develop into a professional detailer and valuable all-round member of our team.
We'll take you from knowing the basics to becoming someone customers trust with their pride and joy, while also teaching you how a professional detailing business operates behind the scenes.
What You'll Be Doing
This isn't a role where you'll do the same thing every day.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Premium interior and exterior detailing
- Paint decontamination and preparation
- Machine polishing and paint correction
- Ceramic coating preparation and application
- Continuing to learn and assist with more advanced technical detailing jobs
- Working from both our Horsley workshop and on mobile detailing jobs
- Assisting management with delegated day-to-day tasks
- General workshop and shop assistant duties
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional workspace
- Receiving and organising stock deliveries
- Stock intake, stock counts and general inventory organisation
- Filling,
labelling and preparing detailing chemicals and products
- Basic administration duties
- Assisting with customer enquiries and bookings
- Potential involvement in sales and customer follow-up as your experience develops
- Delivering exceptional customer service
- Treating every vehicle with genuine care and attention
What You'll Learn
This isn't just another detailing role.
You'll receive hands-on training in:
- Professional paint correction
- Ceramic coating installation
- Protected washing and decontamination methods
- Premium detailing techniques
- Chemical handling and product preparation
- Stock and workshop organisation
- Customer service and professionalism
- Basic administration and business operations
- Sales and customer communication
- Working efficiently while maintaining high standards
- Taking direction from management and managing delegated responsibilities
Our goal is to develop someone who isn't only a great detailer, but a reliable and capable team member who understands how the entire operation works.
As you develop, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility within the business.
Who We're Looking For
You don't need years of experience. You need the right attitude.
We're looking for someone who:
- Loves cars and takes pride in their work
- Has exceptional attention to detail
- Is reliable, punctual and honest
- Can follow instructions and complete delegated tasks properly
- Wants to learn and improve every day
- Is comfortable helping across different areas of the business
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Is organised and willing to take responsibility
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Is comfortable speaking with customers
- Holds a current driver's licence, or is close to obtaining one
Previous detailing, automotive, administration, retail or sales experience is an advantage, but it's not essential.
