Phoenix Source & Select is currently recruiting an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator for an established engineering and manufacturing business based in Revesby, NSW.
Due to an increase in projects, our client is seeking skilled tradespeople with experience in light gauge sheet metal fabrication, strong TIG and MIG welding capabilities, and the ability to undertake both workshop and onsite work.
Immediate starts available, with consistent Monday to Friday work, extended shifts and the opportunity to transition into permanent employment.
What's on Offer
- $50 per hour casual rate
- Immediate start
- Monday to Friday – 5 days per week
- Start times between 6:30am and 7:00am
- 10–12 hour shifts
- Approximately 50–60 hours per week, depending on operational requirements
- Temporary to permanent opportunity after approximately 20 weeks
- Occasional Saturday work may be available
- Variety of workshop fabrication and onsite work
- Opportunity to join a small, established engineering team
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricating and welding light gauge sheet metal components
- TIG welding materials between 2mm and 4mm
- MIG welding and general fabrication work
- Measuring, marking out and preparing materials for fabrication
- Performing jig work to ensure accurate assembly
- Working to specifications and maintaining quality standards
- Undertaking workshop fabrication and onsite work as required
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment
What We're Looking For
- Certificate III in Sheet Metal Working, Boilermaking or a relevant trade qualification
- Demonstrated experience in sheet metal fabrication
- Strong TIG welding skills, particularly on 2mm–4mm materials
- Competency in MIG welding
- Experience with measuring, marking out and jig work
- Ability to work independently and within a small team
- Willingness to undertake both workshop and site work
- Availability to commence immediately and work 10–12 hour shifts
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Highly Regarded
- Experience with stainless steel pipe fabrication and welding
- Previous experience in engineering or fabrication within the food manufacturing industry
- Versatility across different fabrication and welding tasks
