About Us

At FixBot Australia Pty Ltd, technology and precision repair are at the core of everything we do. As Queensland’s premier specialist in robot vacuum repair, motherboard diagnostics, and precision electronics maintenance, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, reliable, and empathetic service to our customers.

We are continuing to expand our technical capabilities and are seeking a skilled, hands-on Electronics & Robot Repair Technician to join our growing team.

The Opportunity

This isn't a simple "part-swapping" role.

Our workshop operations handle complex diagnostic and repair work across a wide range of leading robot vacuum brands (Roborock, Ecovacs, Dreame, etc.) and specialty electromechanical devices. You will diagnose root cause faults down to the component level, repair motherboard and cliff sensor circuits, disassemble mechanical assemblies, replace parts, and perform rigorous quality testing.

If you are naturally curious about how micro-electronics and robotics work, and enjoy bringing broken tech back to life, this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Depending on daily workshop priorities and client repair pipelines, your responsibilities will include:

- Fault Diagnosis: Diagnosing electronic, board-level, electrical, and mechanical faults on robot vacuums and smart home devices.
- Hands-on Repair: Disassembling units, repairing motherboard circuits, replacing worn/damaged components, and completing deep internal overhauls.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Conducting multi-point post-repair testing and extended cycle runs before units are approved for dispatch or pickup.
- Workflow Management: Accurately logging diagnostic notes, parts used, and repair outcomes while managing turnaround expectations.
- Workspace Maintenance: Maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and ESD-safe technical bench.

Who We’re Looking For We care about genuine troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and quality workmanship.

Key Candidate Requirements:

- Local applicant (able to commute daily)
- Full Australian working rights (PR, Australian Citizen, or unrestricted work visa)

Requirements & Skills:

- Hands-on Experience: Proven experience in electronic, electrical, or small electromechanical device repairs (robotics, consumer electronics, laptops, or circuit repair experience highly regarded).
- Diagnostic Capability: Strong fault-finding skills, knowing how to diagnose a circuit fault rather than just swapping whole assemblies.
- Attention to Detail: Pride in your work, precise soldering/tool usage, and thoroughness in quality checking.
- Reliability & Communication: Valuable organizational skills, time management, and clear internal note-taking.
- Physical Capability: Ability to safely handle and bench-test floor-cleaning units and equipment up to 15–20kg.

What We Offer

- Technical Growth: Gain specialized hands-on expertise in robotics, board repair, and next-generation smart home technology.
- Diverse Workload: Work across a variety of advanced brands and complex technical challenges every day.
- Valued Impact: Be a core part of a dedicated team where your technical skills, initiative, and work quality are directly recognized and rewarded.
- Competitive Compensation: Salary/hourly rate dependent on experience and technical capability.

How to Apply

If you are an experienced technician who loves solving complex diagnostic puzzles and bringing devices back to life, we’d love to hear from you!

Please submit your CV/resume to [email protected] along with answers to the following details:

- Current Location / Suburb
- Current Employment Status (e.g., employed, notice period, immediately available)
- Notice Period / How soon can you start?
- Looking for Full Time/Part Time/Casual/Contract ?
- Salary / Hourly Rate Expectations
- Brief Summary of What You Know How to Repair (e.g., board-level soldering, robotics, small appliances, micro-electronics, etc.)
