Fitchies is looking for an energetic and reliable Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our Neutral Bay team.

We're a busy local seafood restaurant serving fresh Australian and New Zealand seafood, cooked to order. We're looking for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys being part of a small team and isn't afraid to get hands-on.

About the role

Working alongside our Restaurant Manager, you'll help with the day-to-day running of the restaurant and learn all aspects of the business.

This is a hands-on management role – you'll be involved in everything from running a shift and looking after customers to food preparation and helping in the kitchen.

Your role will include:

- Helping lead the team during busy shifts
- Delivering great customer service
- Taking orders and working front of house
- Learning our kitchen and cooking procedures
- Food preparation and cooking when required
- Opening and closing the restaurant
- Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and presentation standards
- Stock control, deliveries and reducing waste
- Training and supporting team members
- Assisting the Restaurant Manager with the daily operation of the venue

Who we're looking for

You don't need to already be an experienced Restaurant Manager.

This could be perfect for an experienced team leader, supervisor,



shift manager or hospitality all-rounder who's ready to take the next step.

We're looking for someone who:

- Has hospitality experience
- Is confident dealing with customers
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Is reliable, organised and takes initiative
- Leads by example and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty
- Is willing to learn both front and back of house
- Takes pride in food quality and cleanliness
- Wants to develop their hospitality management skills

Kitchen experience is an advantage, but we're happy to train the right person.

What matters most is your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
