About the Role

We are seeking qualified and experienced Electricians to join a maintenance and projects team supporting industrial and utility infrastructure across the Illawarra region.

This role involves electrical maintenance, fault finding, installations, preventative maintenance, shutdown support, and project work in industrial environments. Opportunities are available for electricians with industrial maintenance backgrounds as well as those with high-voltage experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault finding.
- Carry out electrical installations and commissioning activities.
- Complete preventative maintenance programs.
- Support shutdown and project work across various sites.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues.
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures and site requirements.
- Complete relevant documentation and reporting.

High Voltage Responsibilities (where applicable)

- Install, maintain, and repair high-voltage electrical equipment.
- Perform HV switching activities in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain electrical distribution systems, motors, control panels, and pumping equipment.
- Support water and utility infrastructure operations.
- Work collaboratively with site teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Essential Requirements

- Current NSW Electrical Licence.
- Current White Card.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Industrial maintenance experience preferred.




- Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol screening.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting.

Highly Regarded

- High Voltage experience and switching competency.
- Electrical instrumentation experience.
- Post-trade or advanced electrical qualifications.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, utilities, or water treatment environments.

Pay RatesElectrician Grade 4

$67.83 per hour

Requirements:

- Post-trade certificate or equivalent advanced training.
- Minimum two years of industry experience.
- Demonstrated specialist electrical trade knowledge.

Electrician Grade 5

Requirements:

- Advanced trade qualification.
- Minimum two years' experience at Grade 4 level.
- Advanced electrical or instrumentation knowledge and skills.

High Voltage Electrician Rates

- Ordinary Time: $64.43/hr
- Time & Half: $84.46/hr
- Double Time: $108.23/hr

Work Environment

- Industrial and utility infrastructure sites.
- Indoor and outdoor work environments.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Work at elevated locations may be required.
- Travel between local sites as required.

Ideal Candidate

You are a safety-focused Electrician with strong troubleshooting and maintenance experience, capable of working across maintenance, shutdown, and project environments. You are reliable, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality work while maintaining strict safety standards.

Pay: $64.00 – $67.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 per week
