About One Honey

Founded in 2011, One Honey Boutique is Australia’s largest prom and formal dress showroom, welcoming customers from across Australia and New Zealand to our Gold Coast boutique.

We specialise in prom, formal and special-event fashion and are known for our huge dress collection, exclusive designs and memorable customer experience.

We’re now looking for a Full-Time Junior Retail Sales & Operations Assistant to join our close-knit Gold Coast team.

This role would be particularly well suited to a recent school leaver looking to begin their career in fashion retail and learn all areas of a busy retail business.

You do not need years of retail experience. We are much more interested in finding someone who is reliable, switched-on, confident, organised and genuinely keen to learn.

The Role

This is not a role where you will stand behind a counter all day.

You’ll be trained across the day-to-day operation of One Honey, assisting our stylists and customers while learning the systems and processes that keep a high-volume fashion showroom running smoothly.

Your day may include:

- Assisting our Sales Stylists during customer appointments and fittings
- Helping customers find dresses, colours and sizes
- Learning our styling and signature fitting process
- Preparing fitting rooms and returning dresses quickly and correctly
- Processing, steaming, checking and organising current stock
- Packing and preparing online and customer orders
- Using our Mac computers and Shopify systems for orders and inventory
- Maintaining accurate stock and showroom organisation
- Keeping our showroom immaculate throughout the day
- Assisting with general retail administration and operational tasks
- Helping prepare new arrivals for the showroom and website
- Supporting photoshoots and social media content where required




- Learning more responsibility as your skills and confidence develop

During our busiest periods, One Honey can be very fast paced. You need to enjoy being busy, be able to listen to instructions and move quickly between different tasks while remaining organised.

- Are happy doing the glamorous and unglamorous parts of retail — from helping with beautiful gowns to steaming stock, tidying fitting rooms and sweeping glitter!
- Want to learn, improve and take on more responsibility over time

Previous fashion or retail experience is welcomed, but not essential for the right person. Full training will be provided.

Hours & Availability

This is a permanent full-time position, working:

Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00am–6:00pm

Our showroom is closed Sundays, Mondays and Public Holidays.

Saturday availability is essential and forms part of your permanent working week.

Our peak season generally falls around school holidays and the Australian formal/prom season,



so applicants must be available to work their normal roster throughout our key trading periods.

This position is best suited to someone who can reliably travel to our Bundall, Gold Coast showroom for every shift.
