About us

Blended Cafe, operated by V&C Brewing Pty Ltd, is a full-service dine-in café at North Adelaide, with a second café in Adelaide CBD. Our kitchen prepares a breakfast and brunch menu from raw ingredients, cooked to order and plated, with new dishes introduced weekly. We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our North Adelaide kitchen on a full-time basis.

Key duties

- Prepare, season and cook breakfast and brunch dishes to order, including eggs, French toast, bacon, roasted and grilled proteins and slow-braised meats
- Prepare house-made components, including sauces, aiolis, relishes, compotes, coulis, hummus and pickled vegetables
- Plan and develop the weekly rotating menu, estimate food requirements and food costs
- Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements, including gluten-free options
- Examine foodstuffs on receipt and during preparation to ensure quality and freshness
- Regulate the temperatures of cooktops, grills, fryers and other cooking equipment
- Portion, plate and garnish dishes to presentation standards




- Store food in temperature-controlled facilities and maintain food safety records
- Clean and maintain the kitchen, equipment and work areas in line with food safety standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff

Skills and experience

- Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Sound knowledge of food safety, HACCP principles and allergen management
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
- Good communication skills and a solid team approach
- Available to work a roster that includes Saturdays

What we offer

- Full-time position, 38 hours per week
- Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
- Daytime hours with no late-night shifts
