About the role
You'll work alongside our doctors and clinical team to deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in a clinic setting.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care, including patient assessment, triage and monitoring
- Assist doctors with consultations and minor procedures
- Perform wound care, dressings, suture removal and injections
- Administer immunisations and vaccinations in line with the National Immunisation Program
- Collect specimens, perform ECGs, spirometry and other point-of-care tests
- Prepare procedure rooms, maintain sterilisation and infection prevention and control standards
- Educate patients on health management, medications and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records using our clinical software
- Manage stock and equipment and support the smooth running of the clinic
- Learn and follow our protocols relating to circumcision procedures. Formal training will be provided on the workflows involved, so no prior experience in this area is required.
About you
- Current AHPRA registration as a Enrolled Nurse with no conditions
- Experience in general practice, community or a similar setting is preferred, but motivated new graduates will be considered
- Strong communication skills and a caring, professional manner
- Willingness to learn new procedures and work within established protocols
- Current CPR / basic life support certification (or willingness to obtain it)
- Right to work in Australia, or eligibility for sponsorship (see below)
