Pick Up Shifts That Suit Your Schedule
Fit My Car is looking for practical, reliable people to join our casual warehouse and manufacturing team.
Our workload changes throughout the year, and we're building a group of casual team members who can help out when extra support is needed.
This opportunity is ideal if you're studying, working another job or simply looking for additional income without committing to a fixed weekly roster.
How does it work?
When shifts become available, we'll reach out to see who's interested and available. You're free to accept or decline based on your commitments.
We don't expect everyone to be available all the time. What matters most is that once you've agreed to work a shift, you turn up on time and are ready to contribute.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be supporting different areas of our operations, depending on where extra help is required.
Typical duties may include:
- Picking and preparing products for customer orders
- Packing goods and assisting with dispatch
- Supporting production lines and operating equipment after training
- Unloading deliveries and putting stock away
- Moving materials and keeping workstations supplied
- General factory housekeeping and warehouse support
Some shifts will involve repetitive production tasks, while others may be more physically active. We'll provide the necessary instructions and training for the work assigned.
Who We're Looking For
Previous warehouse or factory experience is useful, but we're equally interested in people with a good attitude and willingness to learn.
You'll suit this role if you:
- Are punctual and dependable when you commit to a shift
- Enjoy practical, hands-on work
- Can safely carry out manual handling tasks involving items up to 25kg
- Are comfortable standing and moving throughout your shift
- Can follow instructions and maintain a valuable working pace
- Are happy to move between different duties as needed
- Work well with others and take workplace safety seriously
- Have some availability on weekdays, either mornings or afternoons
Being able to accept occasional shifts at short notice would be an advantage.
What You Can Expect From Us
At Fit My Car, you'll be joining a team that manufactures, packs and dispatches automotive accessories for customers.
We offer:
- Flexible casual arrangements – accept shifts that fit your availability
- Variety of work – gain experience across warehouse and factory operations
- On-the-job training – learn the tasks and equipment you'll be working with
- A well-equipped workplace – work at our Lara facility
- Potential ongoing opportunities – reliable team members may be considered for more consistent hours or permanent positions as business needs develop
As this is a casual, as-needed position, weekly hours are not guaranteed.
How to Apply
If you're someone who works hard, follows through on commitments and doesn't mind getting involved in different tasks, we'd like to hear from you.
Please submit your application with a brief summary of your experience and your usual weekday availability.
Suitable applicants will be considered for our casual staffing pool and contacted when opportunities arise.
