Caravan Pre-Delivery & Handover Technician

Crusader Caravans is looking for a practical, reliable technician who takes pride in getting the details right—and enjoys showing customers how things work.

You’ll prepare recent and used caravans for delivery, checking their operation, completing inspections and making minor repairs and adjustments. You’ll then guide customers through a friendly, thorough handover, demonstrating their caravan’s features and helping them feel confident before they head away.

It’s a varied role combining hands-on workshop duties, quality checks and customer service within a supportive, family-owned business.

The role

You’ll take each caravan through its final preparation and customer handover, including:

- Pre-delivery inspections: Work through detailed checklists to inspect workmanship, fit and finish, equipment and overall quality.
- Testing and setup: Check caravan systems, appliances and accessories, confirm they operate correctly and prepare them for demonstration.
- Hands-on preparation: Use hand and power tools safely to complete minor repairs, adjustments and rectification work within your skills and authorisation.
- Quality control: Identify faults, damage or incomplete work; report anything requiring specialist attention and follow up before delivery.
- Presentation: Clean and present caravans inside and out, and check that manuals, keys and supplied accessories are ready for the customer.
- Customer handovers: Lead clear, practical product demonstrations, explain how systems and appliances work, answer questions and check the customer understands.
- Teamwork and safety: Work with sales, service and workshop staff to meet handover dates, safely move and position caravans, and keep work areas organised.

About you

You need to be comfortable both using tools and speaking with customers.



Being able to do the practical work and confidently demonstrate a caravan are equally important.

You’ll bring:

- Practical ability with hand and power tools, including minor repairs and adjustments.
- A methodical approach to inspections, testing and following checklists.
- Attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work.
- Friendly, clear communication and the patience to explain unfamiliar equipment.
- Confidence conducting customer handovers and product demonstrations.
- Reliability, good organisation and the ability to work independently and with a small team.
- A current Australian driver licence.
- The ability to carry out the practical duties of caravan preparation, cleaning and setup.

Experience we’d value

Experience in caravans, RVs, automotive, marine, mechanical, maintenance or a related trade would be highly regarded. We’d also welcome:

- Experience towing and manoeuvring caravans, trailers or boats.
- Familiarity with caravan appliances and electrical, plumbing and gas systems.
- Previous customer service or product demonstration experience.
- A current forklift licence.

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
