About the Prospect

This is an active, on-the-ground role designed for an experienced carpenter who takes pride in first-class craftsmanship, enjoys being on the tools, and knows how to command respect and drive production across subbies and direct trades.
The Role
Working in close partnership with the Site Manager, you will be the day-to-day driving force on the deck—balancing hands-on carpentry delivery with practical trade supervision and site coordination:
Hands-On Carpentry & Execution: Carrying out framing, fix-out, structural elements, and architectural finishing works to the highest standard.
On-Site Trade Coordination: Directing subcontractors and internal labour, setting daily targets, and keeping trades aligned with the build sequence.
Site Support to the Site Manager: Assisting with daily site diaries, delivery logistics, pre-start meetings, and spotting potential site clashes before they cause downtime.
WHS & Compliance: Enforcing site safety protocols, ensuring trade SWMS are adhered to, and maintaining a clean, incident-free site.
Quality Assurance (QA): Snagging and defect prevention throughout the build to ensure handovers run smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
Trade Qualified Carpenter (Cert III in Carpentry / Building).
Demonstrated background as a Working Foreman, Leading Hand, or Senior Carpenter with experience directing subbies and trade crews on commercial or high-end builds.
Key Tickets & Licenses:
Current NSW White Card (General Construction Induction).
EWP Ticket (Elevated Work Platform – Boom & Scissor).
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transport.
Advantageous: Working at Heights, Dogging/Rigging, or First Aid.
Strong ability to read and work directly off architectural plans, shop drawings, and elevations.
A proactive, "lead by example" work ethic—ready to get stuck into the work while keeping the big picture on track.

12-Month Project Stability: Secure local work in Wagga Wagga without the hassle of travel or living away from home.
Top Market Rates: Generous hourly rate or day rate package reflecting your leadership and trade experience.
Supportive Site Culture: Direct line of communication with an experienced Site Manager and backing from Works For You Recruitment.
Quality Pipeline: Potential for ongoing placements across the Riverina region upon successful completion.
