About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our on-site team. You’ll be on the tools across bespoke residential renovations and extensions, from framing and structural carpentry through to detailed finish work. You’ll work on projects from start to finish alongside senior carpenters and project managers, so you’ll see the whole build, not just your part of it.

The successful applicant will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, renovating and repairing timber frameworks, structural components and building fixtures, ensuring all work is completed to a high professional standard.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Interpret construction plans, drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, materials and installation requirements.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape and join timber, plywood and engineered wood using hand tools, power tools and woodworking equipment.
- Construct, assemble and erect timber wall frames, roof frames, floor structures and associated building components.
- Install door frames, window frames, skirting boards, architraves and other building fixtures.
- Install timber flooring, exterior wall cladding, internal linings and other timber components.
- Prepare and fit timber joints and connections, ensuring accurate alignment, levelling and structural integrity.




- Undertake carpentry repairs, alterations and modifications associated with residential renovation and extension projects.
- Inspect completed work, identify defects and ensure compliance with construction specifications, Australian Standards and building regulations.
- Select and organise materials, maintain tools and equipment, minimise waste and coordinate activities with other construction trades.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain safe, clean and organised construction sites.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this position, applicants must demonstrate:

- AQF Certificate III in Carpentry or Carpentry and Joinery, or an equivalent relevant trade qualification. At least three years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience in residential carpentry, including timber framing, installation and finishing work.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and construction specifications.
- Proficiency in operating carpentry hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery.
- Strong knowledge of timber construction methods and building materials.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a construction team.
- Good attention to detail, workmanship and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Current White Card, or ability to obtain one before commencing construction work.

Salary and Employment Conditions

- Annual Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
- Ordinary Hours: 38 hours per week.




- Employment Type: Full-time, permanent.
- Overtime: Available depending on project requirements, with applicable overtime payments.
- Location: Residential construction sites throughout metropolitan Adelaide, South Australia.
