Our client, a well-established packaging manufacturer in Rocklea, is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join their outbound logistics team. You’ll safely operate forklifts to stage, load and dispatch finished goods in line with dispatch schedules and transport requirements. This role is focused on dispatch accuracy, timing and coordination, rather than general warehouse movement.

This role starts as a casual position, with the opportunity to transition to full-time permanent employment for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance, high-reach or clamp forklift (site dependent) to stage and load finished goods
- Load outbound vehicles according to load plans, run sheets and transport requirements
- Check product quantities, labels and load accuracy before dispatch
- Coordinate with dispatch, transport providers and warehouse teams to meet delivery schedules
- Complete daily forklift safety checks and report any faults or damage
- Follow dispatch, storage and load restraint procedures
- Keep dispatch lanes, staging areas and load zones explicit
- Support general warehouse or production activities during non-peak dispatch periods
- Maintain a safe and orderly dispatch environment at all times
About You
- Forklift experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or dispatch environment
- Experience loading trucks and preparing outbound consignments
- Understanding of load stability, weight distribution and safe loading practices
- Ability to follow dispatch schedules, documentation and written instructions
- Good communication skills
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid LF (forklift) licence – LO (order picker) licence is advantageous
- Ability to work rostered shifts
- Physically fit to perform manual handling tasks
- Ability to work safely around heavy vehicles and loading docks
Work Environment
- Indoor and outdoor dispatch and warehouse areas
- Exposure to moving forklifts, trucks and loading equipment
- Moderate noise and fast-paced dispatch activity
Pay & Conditions
$47.10 per hour. Pay and conditions are in line with the relevant Enterprise Agreement or Award. Rate will be adjusted accordingly upon permanent conversion.
