The Opportunity

As a Cabinet Maker in our machine shop team, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process - operating CNC machinery, saw equipment, and edgebanders to cut, machine, and prepare cabinetry components to the highest standard prior to assembly and dispatch.

This is a hands-on role where attention to detail directly impacts customer satisfaction, site installation efficiency, and the overall quality reputation of the Farquhar Group.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Operating woodworking machinery including CNC machines, panel saws, edgebanders, and drills to cut and shape board components
- Preparing, profiling, and machining raw timber, MDF, particleboard, and laminates according to production specifications
- Interpreting job sheets, drawings, and production instructions accurately
- Inspecting machined components for dimensional accuracy, cut quality, edgebanding finish, and drilling placement
- Ensuring all prepared components meet strict internal quality standards before passing to assembly teams
- Supporting continuous improvement by identifying defects, production issues, and efficiency opportunities
- Working collaboratively with production, machining, and dispatch teams to maintain workflow and deadlines
- Maintaining a clean, safe,



and compliant work environment in line with OHS requirements

What We’re Looking For

- Trade qualification in Cabinet Making (or equivalent experience in cabinetry manufacturing)
- Strong experience in machine shop environments, panel processing, or board cutting and edging
- High attention to detail and pride in producing premium-quality workmanship
- Proficiency operating CNC routers, flatbed nesting machinery, panel saws, and edgebanders
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production schedules
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong “right first time” approach
- Solid understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
