Our client, Sneh Prestige is a painting business located at Werribee, Victoria 3030, providing painting services to its clients. The business undertakes painting work to meet clients’ requirements, with a focus on preparing surfaces and applying paint and finishes to achieve the desired results.

To support its ongoing painting services, Sneh Prestige is seeking an experienced full-time Painting Trades Worker to join its team. The position offers an annual salary of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Setting up ladders and scaffolding and positioning drop sheets or other protective coverings to prevent paint splashes from damaging floors, fixtures and surrounding areas.
- Preparing surfaces for painting by removing old paint and wallpaper, repairing damaged woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and sanding and sealing surfaces to achieve a smooth and suitable finish.
- Selecting and mixing paints by combining pigments, oils and other additives to obtain the required colours, consistency and drying properties for the job.
- Applying paints, varnishes and stains to walls, ceilings, timber and other surfaces using brushes, rollers or spray equipment, ensuring suitable coverage and an even finish.
- Measuring,



cutting and hanging wallpaper, carefully matching patterns and trimming edges to achieve a neat and consistent appearance.
- Cleaning painting tools and equipment after use, removing leftover materials and keeping the worksite clean, orderly and secure.
- May undertake repairs to window frames and replace broken glass in timber or metal frames as required.
- May install new wall and floor tiles or repair damaged tiled surfaces.
- Assessing the condition of surfaces before commencing work and identifying areas that require additional preparation or minor repairs.
- Measuring work areas and estimating the quantities of paint, coatings and other materials needed for each project.
- Inspecting completed painting work, identifying uneven coverage or visible defects, and carrying out touch-ups to achieve the required finish.

Qualifications:

- At least three (3) years of local experience in painting and decorating.
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification.

Note: Australian citizens and permanent residents are preferred.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
