Creche Supervisor

Studio Vela - OATLANDS

Studio Vela Oatlands is seeking a bubbly, responsible and caring casual creche supervisor to join our team.

This role is responsible for supervising and engaging children in a safe, structured and enjoyable environment while their parents train. We are looking for someone who is energetic, attentive and confident working with children.

The supervisor plays an important role in supporting family memberships and ensuring parents feel comfortable and confident leaving their children in our care.

Key Responsibilities

Child Supervision & Safety

- Supervise children in a safe and attentive manner
- Manage secure check-in and check-out procedures
- Monitor behaviour and ensure respectful interactions
- Follow all safety, emergency and compliance procedures

Engagement & Activities

- Create a positive, welcoming and inclusive environment
- Keep children engaged in structured play
- Encourage respectful behaviour and teamwork

Cleanliness & Organisation

- Maintain a clean and organised creche area
- Sanitise toys and equipment regularly
- Ensure equipment is stored safely and securely
- Report safety or maintenance concerns to management

Communication

- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents
- Inform management of any incidents or concerns





The Ideal Candidate

We are specifically looking for someone who is:

- Naturally bubbly and upbeat
- Responsible and attentive
- Patient and calm under pressure
- Confident managing groups of children
- Professional and reliable
- Comfortable working within policies and procedures

Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, education or youth programs is highly regarded.

Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required. First Aid and CPR certification is highly regarded.

Employment Details

- Casual (varies between 2-40 hours per week)
- Must be available across staffed hours
- Some evenings & Saturday mornings required
