Baker / Pastry Chef – Filipino Breads & Pastries

We're looking for a baker who knows their pandesal from their ensaymada!

Batch Cookie Bar is a fast-growing Brisbane bakery known for our handcrafted cookies, creative flavours and quality ingredients. We're now expanding our range to include delicious Filipino breads and pastries, and we're looking for a passionate, skilled baker to help bring them to life.

We're after someone who understands traditional Filipino baking, loves experimenting with flavours and can consistently produce beautiful, high-quality products.

What you'll be doing

- Prepare and bake authentic Filipino breads and pastries, including pandesal, ensaymada, Spanish bread, cheese rolls, ube bread and other Filipino favourites.
- Develop and refine recipes suitable for commercial production.
- Maintain consistent quality, flavour, texture and presentation.
- Manage dough preparation, proofing, baking and daily production.
- Assist with developing exciting new products and seasonal specials.
- Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards.
- Work collaboratively with our team in a busy bakery environment.

What we're looking for

- Previous experience as a baker or pastry chef, ideally with Filipino breads and pastries.
- Strong knowledge of enriched doughs, yeast fermentation, proofing and baking techniques.




- Ability to work independently and manage production efficiently.
- Attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality baked goods.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for product development.
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working in a quick-paced environment.

Experience in Filipino baking is highly desirable. Formal baking qualifications are an advantage, but hands-on experience, technical skills and genuine passion are just as important.
