About the role

MCL Commercial Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated Gardener to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Castle Hill NSW 2154, this role is essential to maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our clients' outdoor spaces. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, landscaping, and horticultural care of commercial and residential properties.

Key responsibilities

- Perform routine garden maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, and hedge trimming

- Prepare soil, plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation according to landscape designs and client specifications

- Operate and maintain garden tools and equipment, including mowers, strimmers, and chainsaws

- Clear garden areas of debris, fallen leaves, and waste materials

- Perform landscaping tasks such as creating garden beds and laying mulch

- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to specification

- Adhere to health and safety standards and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Gardener or in a similar horticultural role

- Proficiency in operating garden tools and equipment safely and effectively

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in all weather conditions

- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport

- Knowledge of local plants suited to the NSW climate (advantageous)
