Smithfield | $33.85 per hour + super | Ongoing work
We’re seeking reliable production staff for ongoing work assembling aluminium and timber window frames in a factory environment. This is a hands-on, non-trade role with training provided and the potential to develop into longer-term employment.
You’ll follow job sheets and build plans to assemble window frames to specification. Tasks may include preparing and positioning frame components, joining sections, fitting relevant parts, checking frames for alignment and finish, then wrapping and packing completed products for transport. You’ll also assist with general production and labouring duties to keep work moving safely and efficiently.
Duties Include
- Reading and following job sheets, build plans and supervisor instructions
- Preparing, positioning and assembling aluminium and timber frame components
- Joining frame sections and fitting parts required for each product
- Using hand and power tools safely, following training and instructions
- Checking completed frames for alignment, finish and consistency with the build plan
- Wrapping and packing finished windows for transport
- Moving materials and keeping your work area tidy
- Assisting with other production and labouring tasks as required
What we’re looking for
- Previous assembly, manufacturing or factory experience
- Confidence following instructions, plans and set processes
- Good attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach
- Ability to work well in a team and maintain a steady pace
- Punctuality and reliability
