Lead and inspire a whole school Rugby program recognised for excellence in player development, participation and performance. As First XV Head Coach, you will drive the strategic direction and delivery of the flagship First XV program, overseeing season planning, talent identification, recruitment, selection and retention. Working collaboratively with High Performance, Strength & Conditioning and Medical staff, you will create an integrated athlete development environment that prioritises both wellbeing and performance outcomes. In partnership with the Director of Rugby, you will also play a pivotal role in implementing and advancing the College's Rugby Coaching Curriculum and Framework, ensuring a consistent and high quality coaching experience across all year levels.

St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace is a Catholic Day School in the Edmund Rice tradition for young men in Years 5 to 12. The college has an enrolment of 1950 boys from Years 5 to 12, and a staff of 240. Terrace’s Sporting program has a proud and longstanding tradition, playing a key role in both the individual and shared experiences of our students. It supports the College’s mission to provide a well rounded education for our young men.
ABOUT YOU
- Level 3 or higher Rugby Australia Coaching Accreditation (or international equivalent).
- Experience in school based or high performance Rugby environments.
- Strong understanding of contemporary coaching principles and long-term athlete development models.
- Ideally with a background in education, sports management or player development.
- For suitably qualified candidates, there may be additional employment opportunities at the College.
