Interested in OT leadership, but don’t want supervision added to an already full clinical diary?
At Elev8 Wellness & Health, your personal billable target reduces to make room for leadership, and your bonus recognises clinical quality and team development rather than extra personal billables.
I’m partnering with Elev8 in Canberra to recruit an Occupational Therapy Service Excellence Lead.
You might already be leading a team, informally supporting colleagues or just starting to think about your next step. Previous management experience isn’t essential. Elev8’s senior leadership team will support you in developing that side of the role.
Time to lead, with a clinical caseload of your own
With four employed OTs in the team, your personal billable target is equivalent to 20 hours per week, reducing to 17.5 hours with five direct reports.
That gives you time for mentoring, case discussions, file reviews and helping your team develop, alongside your own clinical work.
Targets are tracked monthly rather than as rigid daily requirements, with adjustments for approved leave and ACT public holidays. An agreed ramp-up supports your transition into the role.
A bonus that recognises more than billable hours
The package includes $107,000 base salary plus super, with a performance bonus of up to $21,400 annually, assessed quarterly.
Bonus eligibility starts when you and your allocated team collectively achieve 90% of the combined adjusted billable target. The bonus amount is then based on clinical quality, client experience and outcomes, timely service delivery and team development.
You don’t need to exceed your personal billable target to access the incentive. The maximum bonus is 5% of annual base salary per quarter, subject to the scheme’s conditions and discretionary approval.
An established team and systems to build on
You’ll support four employed OTs in their second and third years of practice. They already manage their own caseloads and sign off their own reports, with outgoing report quality assurance shared across the leadership team.
Your role is to help them strengthen their clinical reasoning, work through cases and continue developing their skills.
Clinical templates and digital Pearson assessment tools are already available. Dedicated administration support handles CRM file setup and invoicing, while you retain control of your diary.
Flexibility, with support for your own development
The working model combines community visits and working from home, with access to Elev8’s Canberra clinic.
You’ll have flexibility to structure your calendar within a 7am to 7pm scheduling window, around client appointments and team commitments.
Elev8 is also open to discussing four-day working weeks or nine-day fortnights.
Alongside operational and people-management mentoring, Elev8 will fund external Senior OT supervision to support your own clinical development.
Could this be your next step?
NDIS experience and current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist are essential.
Three or more years of post-graduate experience is preferred, but it isn’t a firm cut-off. You don’t need to have held a Team Leader title before.
Whether your experience is mainly with children, adults or a mix, we’re interested in the clinical strengths you would bring and your interest in supporting other OTs.
Let’s talk You don’t need to be certain about changing jobs or stepping into leadership to start a conversation.
Apply below or contact David Cameron at Be Recruitment for a confidential chat. We can talk through the team, working arrangements and bonus structure before you decide whether to take things further.
