About the role

Working closely with the owners and management team, you'll help oversee the day-to-day running of the venue, ensuring every service runs smoothly and every guest feels welcome. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can confidently run service, support the wider team and help continue to build a great local venue.

Key responsibilities

- Supporting and leading the front-of-house team across daily service

- Helping drive a positive team culture built on accountability, collaboration and great hospitality

- Delivering exceptional guest experiences and building relationships with regulars

- Having a solid understanding of wine and the confidence to discuss the wine list with guests

- Supporting wine service, beverage recommendations and ongoing team wine education

- Assisting with staff training, onboarding and development

- Helping manage bookings, reservations and guest enquiries

- Supporting opening and closing procedures, cash handling and daily operational requirements

- Maintaining service standards and ensuring the venue is always presented at its best

- Working alongside the owners to improve systems, develop the team and grow the business

About you

- A minimum of 4 years' senior hospitality experience, ideally in a supervisory, team leader, supervisor or assistant management role

- A good working knowledge of wine and a genuine interest in learning more





- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead by example

- Confidence running a service and supporting a team in a busy environment

- A natural ability to connect with guests and deliver warm, personable service

- A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to take ownership

- Strong organisational skills and an eye for the details that make a venue special

- A positive attitude, reliability and a genuine team-first mindset

- Previous experience in a restaurant or wine bar is highly regarded
