FinXL is seeking an eDiscovery Case Manager to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Banking client on a 12+ months contract in Sydney CBD. In this role, you will act as the vital bridge between Legal, Compliance, and technical teams, overseeing complex eDiscovery matters across the full lifecycle. You will provide strategic guidance on evidence handling, review workflows, and external vendor delivery, ensuring all matters meet rigorous regulatory and defensibility benchmarks while supporting critical, ongoing programs of work.

Responsibilities

- Partner with internal Legal and Compliance stakeholders to define collection scopes, review workflows, and timeline expectations.
- Oversee external eDiscovery service providers, managing deliverable quality, scope handoffs, and service level agreements.
- Uphold rigorous chain of custody standards, regulatory legal hold guidelines, and defensible handling protocols.
- Monitor active matter progress, identify operational risks, and provide transparent progress reporting to leadership.




- Refine operational workflows and establish process mapping to drive continuous improvement in case handling.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities between internal investigative teams, counsel, and technical specialists.

Key Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of qualified background in litigation support, eDiscovery management, or legal operations.
- Strong foundational knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and defensible workflows.
- Exposure to industry eDiscovery applications such as Relativity, Nuix, or Microsoft Purview, paired with technical aptitude.
- Demonstrated background in banking, financial services, or similarly regulated environments.
- Proven capability to manage third-party vendors and track project milestones under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to legal counsel.
- Practical understanding of requirements gathering, workflow optimization, and structured project delivery.

Engagement Details

- 12+ months contract with a Banking client.
- Hybrid working model with 3 fixed days in the office in Sydney CBD.
