Restaurant Supervisor

This is a full-time Supervisor role at Omnia, our award-winning European bistro within Capitol Grand, South Yarra. You will support our Restaurant Manager to run the floor and keep the standard of service high every day.

About Us

Omnia Bistro & Bar sits within Capitol Grand, on the corner of Chapel Street and Toorak Road in South Yarra. It blends the energy of a European bistro with the best Australian produce, bringing fine dining craft to the classics, with a deep wine list and a bar out the back.

Guests come for long lunches, special occasion dinners and a glass of something good at the bar. It’s a venue where the welcome, the wine and the pace of service matter just as much as what’s on the plate.

The Role:

You support the Restaurant Manager to run the floor during service: guest experience, team and the daily close, keeping front of house running to standard.

- Oversee service from the first welcome to the last farewell
- Set daily staff allocations and run pre-service briefings with food notes
- Resolve guest feedback on the spot and keep management in the loop
- Support the team’s training and development, leading by example
- Own the close: cash and EFTPOS reconciliation, floats and daily reports
- Manage stock, ordering, receiving and regular stocktakes




- Keep POS, menus and OpenTable bookings accurate and ready for service

Who We’re Looking For

You’re a natural host on the floor, and the whole room feels it when you’re on.

- Supervisor experience in a fine dining restaurant
- Robust food and wine knowledge, and a love of sharing it
- Hands-on with OpenTable and POS, ideally Fedelta
- Confident with cash handling, reconciliations and stock
- Current RSA certification
