Role Description The Financial Controller is a full time, in office role based in Brisbane, QLD, responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting for the Sarina Russo Group. This role includes managing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accurate general ledger maintenance, and overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes. The Financial Controller will monitor cash flow, analyse financial performance, and provide insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. Daily responsibilities also involve maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, supervising finance team members, improving financial controls and processes,



and collaborating with business units to support effective cost management and resource allocation.

Qualifications
Strong Accounting and Finance skills, including knowledge of accounting standards and financial management principles.
Demonstrated experience in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for complex organisations.
Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide transparent recommendations.
Proficiency with financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP platforms, accounting software, advanced Excel).
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accreditation such as CPA or CA is highly regarded.
Experience in leading and mentoring finance teams and working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Robust attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Knowledge of Australian taxation, regulatory, and compliance requirements; experience in the education, employment, or services sectors is an advantage.
