Five Bridges is seeking a Cultural & Family Engagement Practitioner to join our Right Turn Risk-Response Bail Response Program.

This role provides culturally grounded engagement, mentoring and practical family and kinship support to young people participating in the program.

You’ll work alongside the broader Right Turn team to strengthen cultural identity, protective factors, family capacity and engagement with bail support.

What you’ll be doing
Build culturally safe relationships with young people, families, carers and kinship networks.
Provide culturally grounded mentoring and practical family support.
Strengthen cultural, family and community connections that support positive outcomes.
Contribute cultural strengths, risks and protective factors to case planning.
Connect young people and families with appropriate community and specialist supports.
Participate in outreach and the rotating after-hours and on-call response.

About You

You’ll bring:
Experience in cultural mentoring, family support, youth work or community services.
Strong cultural capability and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, kinship and community protocols.




Strong engagement and relationship-building skills with young people and families.
A trauma-informed, strengths-based approach with sound safeguarding judgement.
A relevant qualification or equivalent demonstrated cultural and practice experience.
Queensland driver licence, Blue Card and Police Check, or ability to obtain required clearances.
