About the role

This role will involve the execution of the following duties and responsibilities but are not limited to installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems, including 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. You will conduct fault diagnostics, replace defective equipment, and perform system upgrades. You will configure, test, and commission radio base stations, power systems, and network components, work with fiber-optic cables, modems, routers, and switches to maintain communication lines, and perform PIM, VSWR, and Sweep Testing, as well as site investigations and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities
Installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems, including 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies
Conducting fault diagnostics, replacing defective equipment, and performing system upgrades
Configuring, testing, and commissioning radio base stations, power systems, and network components
Working with fiber-optic cables, modems, routers, and switches to maintain communication lines
Performing PIM, VSWR, and Sweep Testing, as well as site investigations and troubleshooting
Preparing and finalizing documentation for each site and planning work schedules
Understanding WHS requirements, including JSEA, SWMS,



and Risk Assessments
Adhering to safety and compliance standards, including cabling regulations
Liaising with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure project requirements are met
Providing technical advice and ongoing operational support for network optimization

About you
3 years of work experience within the Telecommunication industry
TPG, Telstra, and Optus 3G/4G/5G experience highly regarded
Experienced in Nokia and Ericsson
BTS install and commissioning experience
Proven experience in completing handover documentation in office
Experience in fault finding
RF Electromagnetic Radiation Hazard (RADHAZ) Awareness
Optus, Vodafone, and Telstra online induction
High risk rigging licence
Construction White Card
