We're a busy Greek shop looking for an experienced cook or kitchen hand to join our team. If you know your way around a kitchen, take pride in good food, and work well with others, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role

You'll be preparing and serving authentic Greek food in a fast-paced workplace. We're after someone reliable who can hit the ground running, follow instructions, and help keep the kitchen running smoothly from open through to close.

What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking food to our standards, including frying and grilling
Assembling and wrapping souvlaki, gyros and other wraps
Serving food to customers in a friendly, productive manner
Maintaining a clean, secure and hygienic kitchen at all times
Following all Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S;) and food hygiene requirements




Working closely with the rest of the team during busy periods
Handling end-of-day closing duties, including cleaning down the kitchen and restaurant

What we're looking for
Previous experience as a cook or in a commercial kitchen
Good general cooking knowledge and confidence with basic kitchen tasks
A strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure
Available for closing shifts

Nice to have but not mandatory
A current Food Handling / Food Safety certificate
Familiarity with Greek cuisine

Pay: $56,450.07 - $85,413.99 per year
