Currently partnering with a leading financial services organisation seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join its digital banking technology team.

This is a hands-on engineering opportunity focused on developing and enhancing the microservices and APIs that underpin customer identity, access and digital banking platforms.

Working closely with engineering, product and delivery teams, you will contribute to new development initiatives while improving application reliability, security and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices and APIs.
Build new functionality and enhance existing applications.
Improve application reliability, performance, observability and security.
Contribute to automated testing, code quality and engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver technology initiatives.

About You
Solid hands-on experience with Java,



Spring Boot and microservices development.
Experience designing and building APIs and distributed applications.
Solid understanding of automated testing, code quality and secure development practices.
Experience with application monitoring, observability and production support.
Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude or equivalent.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to engineering.
