Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160 km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector Southwest deposits.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Drill Fitter is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, fault diagnosis, and servicing of surface and underground drill rigs and associated mining equipment. This role ensures maximum equipment availability and reliability, contributing to secure and efficient production outcomes.





This position will be offered on an 8:6, 7:7 or 2:2 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton Including both day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities of this Role Will Include:
Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various drill rigs (e.g. Sandvik, Atlas Copco, Epiroc)
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults
Conduct breakdown repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
Work closely with mining department
Carry out component change-outs and rebuilds according to OEM specifications
Ensure accurate maintenance records and reports are completed
Assist with pre-start checks and field service activities
Follow site safety protocols, including risk assessments and JSAs
Liaise with supervisors and other trades to coordinate maintenance activities
Support continuous improvement by reporting defects and suggesting solutions
