About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our growing kitchen team at Manila in Canberra. This full-time position is ideal for a culinary qualified with solid experience in authentic Filipino cuisine and commercial kitchen operations.

This role requires excellent cooking skills, attention to detail, strong food safety knowledge, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced hospitality setting while delivering an exceptional dining experience to our customers.
-Prepare, cook and present high-quality Filipino and Asian-inspired dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
-Demonstrate a strong understanding of traditional and contemporary Filipino cuisine, cooking techniques, ingredients and flavour profiles.




-Develop and maintain authentic Filipino menu items while ensuring consistency, quality and customer satisfaction.
-Assist in menu planning, recipe development and seasonal menu updates.
-Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation standards across all dishes.
-Manage stock levels, food ordering and inventory control.
-Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations.
-Train, supervise and support kitchen staff in food preparation and kitchen procedures.
-Minimise food wastage and contribute to efficient kitchen operations.
-Work collaboratively with management to maintain and enhance the restaurant's reputation for authentic Filipino cuisine.
