Café in Hawthorn looking for an experienced part-time barista. Immediate start. Must be available Sundays plus 2–3 days during the week, with potential to increase to full-time.

We’re looking for someone confident working independently on coffee in a busy café, who’s also happy to help across front of house when needed.

About the role
Part-time, ~20 hours per week
Immediate start
Daytime café hours; weekend availability required
Making and serving consistently high-quality coffee
Dialling in and adjusting espresso throughout service
Latte art and solid milk-texturing
Managing coffee workflow in busy periods
Till, customer service and general FOH when required
Opening and closing duties
Keeping the station and coffee equipment clean
Helping train junior / all-rounder staff where required

We’re looking for someone who




Has at least 2 years’ robust commercial café barista experience
Can confidently handle a busy coffee service alone
Has good latte art and espresso knowledge
Is reliable, organised and calm under pressure
Has excellent customer service — hospitality attitude is essential; loves serving guests and building quick rapport
Works well in a small team
Is available for an immediate start

Pay: Restaurant Industry Award, based on classification and experience.

Location: Hawthorn, Melbourne

Pay: $27.00 – $48.35 per hour
