Hays is seeking an experienced Workshop Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established industrial operation in the Newcastle/Hunter region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified electrician who enjoys fault-finding, preventative maintenance and keeping plant and equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Your new role

Working within a busy workshop/manufacturing environment, your duties will include:
Electrical maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment
Fault-finding and breakdown maintenance
Preventative and scheduled maintenance
Diagnosing electrical faults and completing repairs
Inspecting and testing electrical equipment
Working with motors, control systems and industrial machinery
Completing maintenance documentation




Ensuring all work complies with site and electrical safety requirements
Supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability

What you'll need to succeed
NSW Electrical Licence
Previous industrial, manufacturing or workshop maintenance experience
Strong electrical fault-finding ability
Experience working on industrial plants and equipment
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
Robust commitment to WHS and safe work practices
Reliable, practical and able to work effectively within a maintenance team
