Salary Range: $34.17 to $35.62 gross per hour

About the Role
The Groundsperson will be responsible for the upkeep of the school grounds at St Joseph's School, Weipa which will include:
Chemical spraying (required to hold a current ChemCert license)
Keeping of school maintenance records
Ability to perform basic maintenance of facilities
Experience with operating and servicing/maintenance of a range of turf machinery and equipment (ie mowers, line trimmers, rotary hoe)
Maintaining plants, gardens and school vehicles
Knowledge of irrigation operating systems and ability to maintain the system
Monitor and act on all compliance related tasks. This may include liasing with the WHS Manager, coordinating contractors and performing inspections, onsite and coordinating weekend works
Work Requirements
Hold a Working with Children Blue Card
Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education
