The Role
The Head of Learning Support (P–12) provides strategic and operational leadership for inclusive learning across the College.
Reporting to the Director of Teaching, Learning and Student Progress, the successful candidate will lead the Learning Support team, overseeing programs and initiatives that support students requiring additional learning support, enrichment, or English language acquisition assistance.
Key Purposes
Lead and strengthen inclusive learning practices across Prep to Year 12.
Advocate for students with diverse learning needs and ensure equitable access to learning.
Partner with teaching staff to develop inclusive, evidence-informed practices that support diverse learning needs and maximise student engagement, growth and achievement.
Build staff capability in evidence-based intervention, differentiation and inclusive education.
Provide strategic oversight of Learning Support, Gifted & Talented and EAL programs.




Key Areas of Responsibility
Oversee systems for identifying, monitoring and supporting students requiring adjustments, intervention or extension.
Lead the development and review of Individual Learning Plans.
Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Learning Support team.
Build positive and productive partnerships with families and external professionals.
Lead the design and evaluation of intervention programs.
Technical Knowledge & Job Specific Skills
Deep understanding of inclusive education and contemporary learning support practices.
Experience using data to inform intervention and strategic decision-making.
Understanding of Gifted & Talented education and EAL programs.
Highly developed leadership and communication skills.
Personal Attributes
Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to influence, coach and empower others while successfully leading organisational and cultural change initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience
Qualified teacher with current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Special Education, Inclusive Education or a related field.
Demonstrated leadership experience in learning support or inclusive education settings.
Terms and Appointment: Commencement in Term 1, ****, or by negotiation.
