About the role

Pro2Pac is a specialist 2-pack coating and furniture finishing business based in Biggera Waters on the Gold Coast, servicing residential and commercial projects.

We are seeking an experienced Furniture Finisher to join our production team, preparing, coating and refinishing cabinetry, timber, MDF, joinery and furniture components to achieve consistent, high-quality finishes.

Duties

Prepare cabinetry and furniture components by cleaning, sanding, filling, masking and removing existing finishes where required.

Inspect surfaces and repair scratches, cracks, holes, dents and other imperfections before coating.

Select, mix and tint coating products to match specified colours, samples and gloss levels.

Apply 2-pack primers, undercoats, coloured finishes and clear protective coatings using professional spray equipment.

Sand and smooth surfaces between coats to achieve the required finish.

Interpret work instructions and finishing specifications, inspect finished components and carry out touch-ups or rework as required.





Clean and maintain spray equipment, tools and work areas, following safe chemical handling and PPE procedures.

Work collaboratively with the production team to meet quality standards and production deadlines.

Requirements

A relevant trade qualification or substantial equivalent skilled experience.

Demonstrated practical experience in surface preparation and the application of protective and decorative finishes.

Experience applying 2-pack coatings, lacquers or other finishing systems using spray equipment.

Competence in colour mixing, matching and coating preparation.

Ability to follow work instructions and finishing specifications, identify defects and carry out corrective work.

Reliability, attention to detail, teamwork and a commitment to safe work practices.

Salary

$79,500–$85,000 per year plus superannuation.
