The Wainui Feedlot has an 18,000 head capacity, feed rations are mixed on-site using grain processed through a state-of-the‐art feed mill. A 4,600 hectare dry‐land and irrigated farming enterprise also operates on the property. Located between Dalby and Toowoomba, the Wainui Feedlot has a reputation for staff retention, tidiness and operational excellence.
About The Role
Reporting directly to the Feedlot Operations Manager, you will be joining the team as a Feedlot Hand. This role will support the operations in a variety of tasks, primarily around driving feed truck,



maintenance, and machinery operation.
Day To Day Duties Include
Driving the feed truck to deliver feed to cattle
Operating loader to load commodities into the feed truck
Maintenance work consisting of pen cleaning, pen maintenance and general feedlot maintenance
Operating steam flake mill facilities
Maintaining mill areas and commodities shed in a clean and hygienic state
Record mill activities, data entry and daily monitoring of feeding
Ideally the successful candidate will have/be:
A current manual driver's license
Experience in machinery operations (loader, bobcat, prime mover, side tipper, excavator) and associated qualifications will be highly regarded but not essential
Must be able to work in a team
Feedlot experience not required, training will be provided
Good verbal communication skills and be reliable, honest and a hardworking with a willingness to learn.
