We're looking for a friendly, patient and reliable female support worker to support a woman in Hervey Bay with everyday activities at home and in the community.We value someone who follows through, enjoys a conversation and takes the time to build trust while respecting personal and skilled boundaries.
The role You'll support the participant with:Shopping and everyday errandsAttending appointmentsDomestic assistance and household tasksSupport at home and accessing the communityEncouragement to make choices and maintain independenceYou'll also complete accurate shift notes, communicate relevant information to U Matter and follow the participant's support plan.About youYou're warm, approachable and happy to have a chat.
You listen without judgment, respect people's choices and understand that reliable support makes a difference.
You'll need:A current driver's licence and a reliable,



appropriately insured vehicle suitable for transporting a participantRelevant screening clearances, or willingness to obtain them before startingCurrent First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain them before startingClear communication and basic confidence using a phone app for rosters and shift notesA willingness to learn, follow guidance and maintain confidentialityExperience in disability support is welcome, but we're willing to train the right person.
Relevant caring or life experience is also valued.What we offerCasual weekday rates of $*****–$***** per hour, including casual loading, with classification based on the role and your relevant experience and qualificationsSuperannuation, applicable penalty rates and allowancesTraining, guidance and direct communication with a local, family-run teamA thoughtful matching process that considers both you and the participantDays and hours will be discussed during recruitment.
