We provide specialist bookkeeping services to the legal sector, working across the major Law Society-approved practice management platforms - LEAP, Smokeball, Actionstep and Clio.We're looking for an experienced Legal Bookkeeper to join us.
Hours are flexible: the role can be structured as part-time, full time or casual, with scope to grow as your skills and availability allow.What you'll doReconcile Statutory Trust Accounts using legal practice management softwareInvestigate and resolve trust account discrepancies, tracing entries to their source and correcting them in line with trust accounting requirementsInvestigate software integration issues between practice management platforms and accounting systems (e.g. data sync errors, mismatched or missing transactions),



and work to resolve themReconcile office bank accounts and credit cardsManage payroll and superannuationPrepare Business Activity Statements (BAS)Handle ad hoc accounting duties as they ariseWhat you'll bringA minimum of 3 years' bookkeeping experienceHands-on experience reconciling Statutory Trust Accounts in one or more Australian legal practice management systemsDemonstrated ability to identify and resolve trust account discrepanciesExperience troubleshooting software integration issues between legal practice management software and accounting systemsSolid experience processing payroll and superannuation, including compliance with relevant obligationsSolid working knowledge of both MYOB and Xero (essential)A high level of accuracy and attention to detailClear, friendly communication and the ability to engage with clients professionallyYou will work in a supportive environment with genuine opportunity to develop your skills and take on more responsibility over time.
