This is a hands-on opportunity suited to someone who genuinely understands SEO from strategy through to implementation.
Combining technical SEO, content optimisation and website management, the position offers the opportunity to take ownership of client projects and directly influence organic search performance.
The Opportunity
Working within an experienced digital marketing team, you will take ownership of SEO activities across a portfolio of client websites, developing and implementing strategies to improve organic rankings, traffic and conversions.
You will conduct website audits, identify opportunities and implement improvements directly within website content management systems.
Beyond day-to-day optimisation, you will monitor performance and contribute to broader SEO strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing SEO strategies across multiple client websites
Conducting technical, on-page and off-page SEO audits
Performing keyword research, competitor analysis and identifying growth opportunities
Implementing technical SEO improvements, including indexing, redirects, structured data and site architecture
Working directly within WordPress, Shopify, Wix and other CMS platforms
Optimising website content, metadata, headings, internal linking and page performance
Identifying content gaps and improving existing website pages
Managing local SEO initiatives, including Google Business Profile optimisation
Monitoring performance using Google Analytics, Search Console and SEO tools
Reviewing backlink profiles and identifying opportunities to improve website authority
Providing performance insights,



recommendations and ongoing optimisation strategies
About You
The successful candidate will bring a minimum of two years' professional SEO experience, ideally within a digital marketing agency or an workplace managing multiple websites.
You will have a strong understanding of technical, on-page and off-page SEO, with the confidence to identify issues and implement improvements directly rather than simply providing recommendations.
Key capabilities and attributes will include:
Minimum two years' demonstrated SEO experience
Strong technical SEO knowledge, including crawling, indexing, redirects and Core Web Vitals
Hands-on experience implementing SEO changes within WordPress, Shopify, Wix or similar platforms
Proven capability in keyword research, search intent analysis and content optimisation
Experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush or Screaming Frog
Understanding of local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret performance data
Excellent attention to detail and confidence resolving technical SEO issues
Ability to manage multiple client projects and competing priorities
Strong communication skills and a proactive, accountable approach to delivering results
This position will suit an experienced SEO Specialist or SEO Executive who enjoys being hands-on, takes ownership of their work and wants to further develop their technical and strategic capabilities.
