This role requires a combination of technical and operational skills.
Mine scheduling, Mine design and operations support are the major areas of responsibility, as are:Tasks and ResponsibilitiesMaintaining leadership safety standards within the Mine Operations Team.Ensuring mining standards are met.Establishing and maintaining a proactive safety culture.Develop and execute mining methods for upcoming ore production,



in conjunction with the Mine Foreman and Geology team.Assist with the preparation weekly plan by the Mining Foreman.Mine Design for development and production.Co-ordinate any consultants work on mine design.Assist with monthly ventilation.Collaboration with consultants within the mining department.Direct meetings, reviews and interaction with Mining crews and technical personnel underground, on a day-to-day basis, to ensure smooth delivery of development metres and production, to ensure efficient and productive ore mining to maximize grade recovery.Qualifications and ExperienceMandatoryDegree in Mining EngineeringPrevious Underground Mining experience (minimum 2 years will be considered)Excellent interpersonal, team building skills and organisational skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills at all levels (internally and externally) are essential.Manual C-Class Driver's licenceProficiency with Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook)Proficiency with specialist software packages (Deswik)Demonstrated ability to prioritise and be flexiblePerform well under pressure, valuable team memberCapable of getting along with a wide range of people in an underground and office environmentShow respect and support for members of the teamCompleted at least 1 year of Underground experienceExposure to/knowledge of VentsimExposure to weekly scheduling processesAble to prioritise task depending on importantCompetitive remuneration package including performance bonusResidential role based in Regional VictoriaEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Supportive and collaborative team environmentPlease note that as part of the process, you will be subject to a pre-employment medical, and police check, in order to be considered successful for this role.Only applicants with valid working rights will be considered.
