This role is with Flyash Australia, a joint venture between Boral and Cement Australia.
Flyash Australia is seeking a Depot Leader to join our team at Mt Piper.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead a small team of 4-5 and take ownership of the day-to-day operations at the Mt Piper depot.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be across everything from fly ash processing and plant performance to safety, quality and team development.
You will drive a Zero Harm culture on site, manage operational and maintenance activities, and ensure the depot consistently meets its volume, quality and cost targets.
This is a permanent, full-time day shift role (Monday to Friday) with reasonable additional hours as required.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and supervise a small team across all day-to-day depot operations
Drive a strong safety culture through visible leadership and compliance with site safety systems and procedures
Rostering
Oversee plant operations, performance and maintenance activities
Maintain quality systems and ensure product meets required standards
Manage operational costs and contribute to budget planning
Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders including power station personnel, customers and contractors
Mentor and develop your team to build capability and maintain high standards
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within an industrial, manufacturing, mining or heavy industry environment




A trade background (ideally fitting) is preferred but not essential - what matters most is your ability to lead a team and run a safe, efficient operation
A genuine commitment to safety and experience working within structured safety management systems
Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience with plant operations and an understanding of maintenance planning
Proficiency with maintenance management systems (e.g. MEX or similar) is an advantage
Working at heights, confined spaces and forklift licences are desirable - training can be provided for the right candidate
Construction white card
Current driver's licence (mandatory)
