Our current operation runs an underground mine and processing plant that is responsible for producing gold and antimony.
The mine's workforce consists of approximately 300 permanent employees who hold various roles in professional, technical, mining, processing, and trades.

The Role
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent the Mining Engineer will work as an integral member of our high-performing technical team to deliver professional development design and planning, ventilation and services management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
As a Mining Engineer in the Technical Services department.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Development mine design, planning, and design documentation.Risk assessment and risk management.Underground inspections of working areas and areas to be designed.Design and modelling of mine ventilation and critical mine services.Ventilation QAQC to ensure designs are efficient and achieving safe outcomes.Optimisation of operational ventilation.Leading technological and design improvement projects within the technical team.Assistance with design and planning of underground and surface infrastructure projects.

The Person
We are seeking an individual who possesses:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering disciplineBetween 2 – 3 years' experience essentialPrevious experience working undergroundMine ventilation experienceStrong commitment to workplace safety, continuous improvement and technicalexcellenceSelf-starter with a robust work ethicWell-developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work aspart of a focused technical teamAbility to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
