Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated
Wayside and On-Board Service Engineer
who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.
The position is based in
Wulkuraka, Queensland
.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the execution of maintenance activities on site in accordance with the contractual KPIs
Ensure monitoring, analysing and reporting on-site system performance
Ensure the execution of first level of troubleshooting on site in case of issues
Ensure logs and dump files download from in office equipment and provide first level of analysis
Ensure monitoring of the day-to-day maintenance performance and provide technical reporting to the Client.
Ensure the execution of on-site maintenance task ensuring the application of OHS and STS HSMS rules
Ensure the availability of local stock and repair process activation
Skills & Experience:
Electrical Trade qualification (i.e. Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician) is essential
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar field,



including RPEQ, is desirable
2-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the Rail Signal industry with demonstrated capability and skills in:
Electrical equipment and high-risk environments
Use of Test equipment (e.g. Digital and Analog multi-meters, insulation meters, etc.)
Use of Computer based test software
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Incident/accident investigation
Knowledge of ERP and Configuration Management tools
Knowledge of Database tools
