As a Casual Educator, you will support our permanent educators in delivering high-quality childcare and education programs in a warm, welcoming and engaging environment.
This role is essential to maintaining continuity of care and ensuring all children receive consistent, developmentally appropriate experiences.Key responsibilitiesSupervise and care for children in accordance with Centre policies, procedures and relevant legislative requirementsAssist in planning, preparing and implementing age-appropriate learning activities and experiences that foster children's development across all developmental domainsMaintain a safe, clean and well-organized learning environmentBuild positive relationships with children, families and team membersSupport children's emotional wellbeing,



behaviour guidance and social developmentMaintain accurate records and documentation as required by centre policies and regulationsActively participate in team meetings and professional development opportunitiesUphold and model the centre's values of respect, inclusion and quality careWhat we're looking forA current, valid Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent recognized qualification)Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain thisA current Working with Children CheckDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of child development and early childhood pedagogyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong relationships with children and familiesThe ability to work collaboratively within a team environmentA genuine passion for working with children and commitment to their wellbeing and learningFlexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to casual shiftsStrong organizational and time management skillsAn understanding of and commitment to inclusive practices, cultural diversity and child safetyPrevious experience in childcare or early childhood education settings is highly valuedWhat we offerAt Oppia Wantirna South , we value our educators and offer a supportive and collaborative workplace.
